Hi, I'm Claudio! πŸ‘‹

I listen first.
Then I design.

Hi, I'm Claudio: a UX/UI designer with over ten years of experience in hearing care, plus parallel lives in cinema and coding. That mix of fields is why I can follow a project from the very beginning to the very end: I listen, sketch, prototype, test, and then code the real thing. Have fun!

01 Β· the listening

Ten years in other people's ears

Accessibility is usually a checklist. For me it was a job title. As a qualified hearing aid specialist at Amplifon I ran needs assessments every day, balancing clinical care, commercial targets and KPIs, with people who trusted me with a sense they were losing. Design school came later. The user research started here.

02 Β· the code

I speak fluent developer

Alongside the hearing care years I built websites for small businesses as a freelance designer and developer: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP. When I draw a component in Figma I already know what it will cost the person who builds it. This portfolio is the proof: designed and coded by me, in React.

And lately, a new chapter: I design and ship with an AI-assisted workflow, vibe coding with Claude Code from prompt to production-ready React. This portfolio was designed by me and built exactly that way.

03 Β· the craft

Research before rectangles

I retrained properly: Google UX Certificate, then the UX Design Master at Talent Garden with Sketchin, including a complete B2B SaaS design (Cicara). Today I design for Crowd Plus: with Atlas+ I turned thousands of data fields into one clear entry flow, rebuilt the information architecture, prototyped it in Figma and coded the front end myself.

04 Β· the eye

Direction, color, story

My short films have won international awards for direction and color grading. SOLO Fotografia listed me among 100 emerging Italian photographers, and my photography has been published by ELLE, Starbene and Psicografici Editori. It is not a side quest: composition, color and storytelling are the same muscles I use on every interface.

05 Β· fun facts

Fun facts (all true)

Beyond the work: I am endlessly curious about technology and AI, I play chess to reset my mind, and I have watched Interstellar more or less sixty times. Astrophysics and psychology are the two subjects I can talk about for hours: how the universe works, and how people do.

I fly drones to photograph Liguria from above, I made the most viewed Italian Instagram filter in the world (3.4 billion impressions), and my favourite way to end a day is stargazing under a wind turbine. Cinema, of course, ties it all together.
